Programs
KEGME's programs and activities have addressed a number of critical women's and
gender issues in the Mediterranean region focusing on action - research, training and
capacity - building, through organising regional conferences and workshops, advocacy
work with key - stakeholders and development projects, mainly in Africa.
Since 2000, KEGME is focusing on facilitating dialogue between women's groups in
the Balkans, specifically on issues of conflict resolution, management and prevention,
post - conflict reconstruction and peace - building, as well as human rights issues and
new and emergent gender issues affecting the region. KEGME is also taking an active
part in introducing ICT's ( Information and Communication Technologies) as tools for
empowering women in the region.
